You may have heard from your friends that he or she is making money simply by working on internet.
Well, there are multiple ways to earn money from internet: you can
launch a site, find some work like captcha entry (usually spam) or become a
freelancer.
This article is about some of the world's best freelancing
websites. Become a freelancer & you can be your own boss, you can set your
own time premises (when to work & when not to), no need to write an application
for a single day leave: you can work from any corner of the world. The only
condition is access to the internet.
Below are the sites I found most fascinating from my freelancing
experience.
Elance is always on the top of my list.
Elance has over 2 million skilled freelancers waiting to get your
job well done.
Freelancers working on elance generate more than 200 million
dollars per year (pretty impressing). Elance escrow for fix projects and time
tracker for hourly base projects gives a guarantee for the payment (so no
worries after the milestones). Every freelancer is rated after each job is
completed, which opens doors for skillful individuals/companies.
The payment process are pre-defined: Elance takes 8 (eight)
percent of whatever you earns. So, if a project budget is 100$, you will get
92$ and 8$ go to the elance account. Payment processes for elance are: paypal,
credit card, moneybookers, wire transfer, ACH (Automated Clearing House and bank
check.
If you are a couple of friends looking for a job with grooming
skills, elance is a good place for you. You can make a team (one account, one
name), all the skill tests are free (rare on freelancer sites) and a medium for
a proven skills profile.
With more than 9 million users + more than 5 million projects
(posted) freelancer.com is one of the leading freelance website in the world.
Milestones secure project payments and their live support is
always there to assist you (pretty impressing). After the completion of each
job every frelancer is rated on the base of their performance and same case is
applied to the contractors.
Payment processes for freelancer via PayPal, Wire Transfer,
Moneybookers and Freelancer.com debit cards. They also send out payments
directly to user’s bank accounts using Express Withdrawals. please note, that
this withdrawal method is currently limited to select number of countries.
Quality: If you talk about it, pph is a place to find rectified talent. One of my favorite website to work and hire at the same time.
This website works a little different. As a freelancer you can post your talent and ask for the money (pre-deined). For example: If you are a writer, you can generate money by offering: ""I can write a 500 words article for $10."" Or if you are a designer, you can post as: "I can design logo for your company for $55" etc. You can also search for the projects similarly to other freelance websites.

It is also great for someone who is looking to hire. Payment
methods accepted on peopleperhour are: Credit card or debit card, paypal and
bank transfer.
oDesk
PART OF UPWORK.COM now.
oDesk is another great site to work with. It's one of the largest
site functioning. One can work as an individual or he/she can become a part of
any agency. Payment methods are: ACH (US Only), Local Funds Transfer
(LFT), US Dollar Wire Transfer, PayPal & Payoneer.
This site
is really good for someone looking for hiring because you will find a skillful freelancer at affordable rate.
Specially For newbies: Remember that this site allows you to bid as
low as you can (worse point). Now
newbies even pick a project for less than $1 to get ratings/feedback. But note:
you will never get ratings for work less than $1 & this website will never
let you know until you visit their faqs page (well, allow me to say: this
sucks).
99design
This site is one the best to work for graphic designers, web designers, logo designers etc (For designers in general).Guru
This platform also rocks. There are many professions for a freelancer to work in.
Admin support, web, programming, sale and marketing, engineering, law services and much more.
Fiverr
It's an interesting website.. One can offer services for $5 only. Say: I can get you 500 page likes in 3 days etc etc. A huge community and thousands of services known as gigs.
Toptal is also a good resource if you are excellent at coding.
There are many other sites out there, some are good some may be spam. But I've rated the best sites I came across to. If you have any query: Go ahead and I'll answer ASAP.
